IN '05, FORD OFFERED A SAN DIEGO MODEL, I DO BELIEVE LIMITED TO 400 CARS WITH "S-D-S" BADGES ON THE SIDES OF THE CAR WHERE OUR TRADITIONAL MUSTANG TRI-BAR EMBLEMS ARE LOCATED (rear of the front fenders). NO ACCURATE INFO, BUT I DO BELIEVE MOST OF THESE CARS WERE BLACK WITH SILVER OVER-THE-TOP STRIPES. WITH NO PONY PACKAGE YET AVAILABLE, I'M NOT SURE WHAT OTHER OPTIONS WERE INCLUDED. ALL V6, OF COURSE. THEY DID COME WITH 1 of --- DASH PLAQUES. HAVE SEEN SEVERAL IN PAST TWO YEARS OR SO.

Yes, I have heard of these but I've yet to see a picture and the info was very limited.  Does anyone know for sure if this was a dealer aftermarket special or factory built regional special?  (A peek at the window sticker would do the trick!)

Hello sorry if this is an old topic, but I own a 5-speed 2005 V6 Mustang SDS. It is #45 of 200. The car came loaded with interior upgrades, rolled exhaust tip premium wheels either 16 or 17 inch. It comes with a unique plaque on the center dash with SDS and right under it, it says 45 of 200. I still have my window sticker and I will post that up if anybody would like to see it.

Hello and welcome!!!  It is an older topic but by no means dead.  We have learned more about the SDS since then but as of yet not seen any pictures or a window sticker from an owner.  Any that you can provide would be MOST APPRECIATED!

PERFECT!! 

And this one sticker confirms a lot!!!!

"4 passenger specialty" instead of "Sport"
"IUP" upgrade for free as part of the $995 SDS package.
"SDS Edition" clearly notated on the sticker
"Exterior Sport Appearance Package" and Spoiler at no charge.  - it was in fact built on the Sport!!
No change in the wheels/suspension that I can see from this.  (Still 16" wheels - no Traction Control, ABS, or "GT Suspension")
And the stereo doesn't appear to be Shaker 500 or 1000 but I could be wrong. 

I do see that the car is Sonic Blue instead of black as previously mentioned by BLUBOY.  Can you confirm stripe package if any and color of those stripes?  i.e. Stampedes have no side stripes stock but did come with over the hood, roof, and trunk lid SILVER metallic 9 inch wide stripes. 

Can you confirm any of this for us?

Looking over his window sticker, I do see where he does have the Shaker 500 system. Also, he has the active anti-theft system and the wheel locking kit. We did not have that option for wheel locks for our Stampede Editions which makes this a difference in the packages. Great info here provided in the window sticker!

Ah, I see the Shaker 500 now.  I should know better.  All Premium Level V6 Mustangs come standard with Shaker 500 systems. 

Now, on the optional equipment... My Stampede came with Wheel Locks, Anti-Theft, and Leather Seats and my window sticker shows that I paid extra for those items just as this SDS window sticker does.  I'm sure that if you check your sticker you should see an extra charge ($695) for your leather seats.  They are not part of the Stampede package.  This is why we are seeing some with leather and some with cloth interiors.  This is true of the SDS and SCS as well. 

The package items show up under one price (SDS Edition - $995, Stampede Edition & SCS - $1995) with the details as "No Charge".  The other items are added on and therefore charged to the total.

This is why it is exciting to hear from other owners about there ponies and the differences in them. I am going to look over my own window sticker again on the items you mentioned. I have yet to see a Stampede with cloth interior trim cause I was thinking these all came with leather seats. My pony did not come with the wheel locks but I think I should be getting some soon.
I got my pride and joy back Monday evening after 6 long and dreadful days of being Mustangless (ha). I have spent my evenings this week adding the neat items you gave me. I know I must have pics to share and these will be posted soon... I love the new look inside now and I am searching for the blue lights to put in the map lights like you have. Thanks so much for the "bling".

The SDS models came in red, sonic blue, and black. These are the only colors that i see them in here. And yes thay all come with the 9 inch stripes on the hood, roof and trunk lid.
