Bought on August 10, 2006 at Middlekauff Ford, Plano TX.
Vista Blue with Dark Charcoal interior (leather) with the Shaker 500 sound system. No performance mods done. Added an XM Roady XT unit, tinted windows and added "235" to the left side front bumper.
I found inside the gas cap door a piece of tape stating 4/23/06 which is the date this pony went down the production line.

When we were installing the iPod and took the center console out we found written in white on the metal of the automatic gearshift the date 3/20/06 so that must have been my production date. What do you think?

Jason,
You have your build sheet now. What was your build date? The 4/23/06 can't be right... Remember, they were ALL made in March 2006 according to the documentation we have now.

Reba,
This is the Production Date for mine as you stated our Stampedes were made in the month of March.
25-MAR-2006
I hope this is what you were replying about, right? I was glad to see you at the Mustang premier this week.

I just bought Stampede 236. It looks identical to yours. I am trying to find floor mats to go with it. Any suggetsions? That is the only thing missing. It's in what i feel is mint condition. 21,400 miles on it when i bought it. Not a mark on it.

First off, I want to say hi and welcome to our Stampede Edition registry! Congrats on buying #236 and acquiring one of the 500 Stampede Edition Mustangs. The local FORD dealership should have these mats available and you can check with them. These front mats are carpeted floor mats with a brushed chrome MUSTANG badge.
Do you have the badge placed in the middle of your dash and on the rear fake cap? This pony has been taken good care of from the previous owner and I know this pony is happy to find a new home. Send a photo of your new pony, we would love to see #236 and compare. Where do you live in the DFW area? We could have a meet and greet meeting.

I asked the dealership where I got it about the mats and they did not have the ones that came with them and really did not say much else on ordering them. When I had called back inquiring about them again. They seemed a little puzzled, and when I mentioned to them that I wanted to know if there were special floor mats that came with the Stampede Edition, they asked me what i was tlaking about. When I told them, "Well you sold me a 2006 Stampede Edition Mustang and it did not have the floor mats in it, it does have the placard and the cap on the back marked Stampede Edition, but not floor mats" They were still curiou. Another guy got on the phone and as we were talking we pulled the car up on the computer and asked me to be put on hold and when he came back he asked if I would be interested in seeling the vehicle back to the dealership for $16000. I told him I was not interested, He said OK and hung up. But, yes it is marked. If I have no luck with this dealership, can i contact another one and tell them what I have and what I want for them to order?
I am just excited to be here. I will get a picture up ASAP!!

What dealership are you dealing with? I can understand the frustration you're having with ones in the parts dept. I can't believe they wanted you to sell this special pony back to them for $16k and glad that you are excited about owning a rare Mustang! It's really good to know that you have the center dash badge and the rear gas cap.
I will keep looking around for you on these front mats. I have a 2006 Mustang accessory catalog at home and will try to find you an order number for these mats.
I can't wait to see photos of your Stampede! My name is Jason, by the way it's great to be hearing back from you.

Thornhill in Waxahachie. I dont think they realized what they had, and figured they wanted it back. One of the salesman stated when I was on the phone with the guy that offered to buy it back, said in the background that, "If the car is really what that guy is saying it is, which I doubt it is, but if it is. We screwed up, because the manager would have wanted to keep it for himself or would have been asking alot more for the car." I paid $14,900 for the car.
I appreciated your help. Whatever you can find. I know they will run me around $100 or so. We got this car for our daughters Sweet 16 and really did not realize what we had till i got home and started looking on the computer about the 2006 Stampede. That is when I saw what we really had.
We're afraid to let her drive it now. She is a real good driver, so she is only going to drive it on occasion and drive our truck the other days.

Isn't it funny how salesmen can be once they realize they screwed up and wanting the car back now? Do you happen to have the window sticker on hand? If so, you will see the words "Stampede Edition" on the window sticker. These ponies are hard to find and we would love to find more of the them. There are a few little things we have noticed with the Stampede Editions that differs from the other 2006 V6 Mustangs outside of the badges and stripes, but unable to get anything from FORD on it. Reba has #351 and if you have not visited her site dedicated to #351. She has modified her's quite a bit and it looks incredible! I've kept mine in stock condition. here it is: http://rarepony.blogspot.com/You're not that far from the DFW area and hopefully we can get to meet you and the Stampede.

I saw where you you were talking about the differences with someone else. The steering being tighter, rides lower and some other things. I did think it was kinda funny about the salesman.
Nope, not too far from Dallas, about 25 min.
I plan on keeping mine all stock. What about the stripes along the side of the car down where it normally says "MUSTANG" I thought I saw where someone had "STAMPEDE" on theirs. Was that something that came on some of them? Or is it something added, and would that be something to get? And also I found a website talking about the stampede edition and it says that, at a touch of a button you have 125 options on your dashcoloring or something like that. What are they talking about?
#351, I did look at her messages. And she does have a nice car!!

You have found out alot already and I will answer your questions. I'm glad that you will be keeping your's stock as well. The side stripe you are talking about like the one Reba has is one that she had made for her pony. The tape delete is what originally are on all the Stampedes on the sides. You are talking about the 125 changeable colors called MyColor which allows you to turn your dash many different colors and is really cool. Have your tried doing this already? I found the cheat sheet listing all the color combinations, here is the site to check out the color combinations: copy and paste this link http://home.surfree.com/~pauld/mustang.htmFeel free to PM me at sktrstangs@tx.rr.com and I will be happy to help you out more.

I am so excited to be hearing from you and stay in touch!
I'll be letting you know what I can find out on the mats for you.
Once you get the hang of the MyColor it really makes your dash look great at night.
Oh and I see you are a Cowboys fan too! We got the right colors on our Stampedes blue and silver.

This is a link that I have which shows the 2006 Mustang Order Guide below: http://www.scribd.com/doc/12432991/06-Mustang-OrderingGuide1The V6 Pony Package included carpeted front floor mats with unique brushed chrome "MUSTANG" badge in 2006MY interior colors as stated in the order guide. My understanding is that all pony pkg Mustangs received these mats and are not just for the Stampede Editions. You may can print this out and get with another FORD parts dept. These are the parts numbers on the back of mine which will be what you are looking for and mine are black. >PA66< LH (left half) 7R33-6313005-**W GB-29 >PA66< RH (right half) 7R33-6313005-**W GB-48 Hope this helps you out with getting these floor mats for the Stampede.
