Check out the attached "Hero Card" for the Southern California Special Mustang. 600 Cars were produced but I do not believe they had interior plaques. Only the rear badge. Interesting thing to note is that on the Ford Window Sticker a SCS shows "California Limited Edition" instead of "Southern California Special". I'm still looking into that.

Also, this card was created in January 2006. So far it appears that the Stampede was the third (fourth? California Limited Edition?) special of this group. If there are others they haven't been discovered yet.

Yes, the window sticker on my vista blue SCS does indeed say "California Limited Edition" --- $1995.00 Also, NO interior plaques --- I pursued one to no avail. Ford even sent me an SDS plaque in an attempt to get me off their backs. Thanx for the "Hero Card", had a copy, but can always use more. Have had this car for over two years now and still enjoying it. The car and I will be traveling to Fabulous Fords Forever" at Knott's Berry Farm for the BIG all ford show this Sunday 4-20-08. God bless and keep all of you, BLUBOY

I thought you were trying to sell your car? Did you change your mind? I hope so. Plaque or no plaque you still have a regional special to hold on to. As we get more info and documentation it will be easier to prove the authenticity of your special.

I also own a "California Limited Edition" 2006 Mustang. Mine is the Tungsten Grey with the silver stripes. Has everything the flyer lists. There is no plaque for mine inside either. I have been trying to find out info on the car without much success. I have owned it for a little over 3 years now. Love my car! Just curious if any more info is available for the car. I have only seen maybe 1/2 dozen in my area.

Welcome aboard! Does your rear medallion say CE or SCS? And is it a 2005 or 2006?

Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2006 Mustang SCS. It's the red (G2) model on the hero card with the silver stripes. I got it 6/19/09 from Sunnyvale Acura in Northern California. I am the second owner. The first owner appears to have been located in Southern California. She took real good care of it. It has the badge in the back, but no window sticker or badge inside. It seems to have all of the other Pony Package items. I am looking for a good car cover and find that Wolf is out of business. Any recommendations out there? Any more information on this Edition. There sure is not much out there. Were there actually 600 produced. Any way to tell what number (out of 600) mine is?
